For this trip, we explored Big Bend National Park, Rio Grande Wild & Scenic River, Fort Davis National Historic Site, Guadalupe Mountains National Park, Carlsbad Caverns National Park, and White Sands National Park. We made several other stops along the way too!
While we were at Big Bend National Park, we hiked the Santa Elena Canyon Trail and were able to see parts of the river. More information about that hike can be found on the Big Bend National Park page, Day 2.
On day 3 of our Big Bend trip, we hiked Boquillas Canyon Trail and watched a horse go across the river to Mexico.
