During our time exploring Saguaro National Park, we decided to travel here since it was so close. We’re glad we did!
Day 1
We arrived at Tumacacori National Historical Park at about 2:50PM, just in time to meet Bianca. She handmade us the most amazing corn tortillas we’ve ever had and topped them with a green salsa and pinto beans. As she was making them, we were able to learn about the process a bit. If you go here, make sure to talk to her and leave her a nice tip.
This place was very cool to learn about. There’s a 17 minute video that goes over the history of the place. Then there’s a path we walked along to explore the grounds and various buildings. There’s an annual festival that would be pretty cool to check out one year.
Once we were done, we continued on our Saguaro National Park trip.
